      Healthy Monday NKY

The Northern Kentucky Healthy Monday Coalition is currently involved in promoting the following Healthy Monday initiatives throughout the region in a variety of settings including workplaces, schools, and communities.  For a more comprehensive listing of all the Healthy Monday programming options, click here.

Choosing Monday as a day to go meatless, you can reduce your overall saturated fat consumption by 15 percent, which may reduce your risk of chronic preventable conditions like cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. Meatless Monday can also help reduce your carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel. To learn more about the campaign, click here.

Start your week off with a quick tip on how to live healthy. Sign up to receive your own email tip and then consider sharing with others.

Most of us are not aware of how many calories we should be consuming.  The Monday 2000 program is based on the FDA’s recommendation of 2000 calories being a reasonable average guideline for adults. To learn more about the campaign, click here.

By simply marking out a mile, or any derivation, like quarter or half miles, and promoting it with bright and friendly Monday Mile markers, you can motivate your fellow students, office co-workers and friends, to get moving and walking towards improved health. To learn more about the Monday Mile campaign, click here.
